Community
The Counterdeck forum is a place for players to talk Magic: brewing, rules, the meta, trades and community. These rules exist to keep it a place worth coming back to. They are not a legal contract; they are the shared agreement we expect from everyone. Moderation is applied with common sense, not to the letter.
Criticise ideas, decks and plays — never people. No personal attacks, harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia or any other form of hate.
Disagreeing hard about a line of play or a card evaluation is fine; insulting the person who suggested it is not. If you would not say it at a table with the person in front of you, do not write it here.
Post in the right category, with a title that says what it is about. A good title saves everyone time and gets you better answers.
Tag spoilers for cards not officially revealed outside the dedicated thread, and warn before ruining surprises. Avoid bumping very old threads without adding anything new.
No spam, aggressive self-promotion or advertising. Sharing your deck, your stream or your content is fine when it is part of the conversation; opening ten threads to drop the same link is not.
Search before you ask: your question may already be answered. And when you ask, give context (format, budget, what you have tried): you will get real help.
Card and deck recommendations must respect the legality of the format being discussed (except in openly casual categories, where anything agreed at the table goes).
Promoting counterfeits (cards sold as real, fakes) or anything that infringes Wizards of the Coast's rights is forbidden. Proxies to play at home are another matter; selling them as genuine is not.
The team may edit, move, lock or remove content that breaks these rules, and warn or suspend repeat offenders. We aim to correct, not punish: a heads-up is usually enough.
If you see something that should not be here, use the report button on the post or comment itself. If you think a moderation decision was unfair, write to us: we will review it.
Thanks for helping keep this a good place for the community. Now head back to the forum and share something worth reading.
